q sent me a pound of various leftover yarn. i took advantage of the lull in inspiration to knit yet another beanie. i used the lovely green tweed yarn q bought in australia. i dragged this simple project with me to the last two knit groups. finally, i finished it last night.

jg likes beanies to be real snug. he's not hot about the cables but he really likes the color and texture of the yarn. check out my expert guessing at the crown decreases.

I also like to make beanies, but my son says they are too long and not tight enough. Do you use a specific pattern I can buy , or can you pass on some tips?
