can you see the shoes on the power lines? i took that picture during my walk today. i brought my camera along for the lost pet flyer i saw yesterday. exept i'm too late; it has already been torn off.
please refrain from vomiting. i know they're unsightly but i just can't help it. i'm completely overwhelmed by the desire to show off these parts of my body today.
the fog is so low today i can see it fly by over the cars in the parking lot. unfortunately, it's not dense enough for my camera to register. i focused on the ground instead.

i showed up to work this morning and one of the store front windows was cracked in a gazillion pieces.
i asked aloud, "oh no, what happened?" steve the carpenter stopped pounding something on the front desk and replied, "oh, one of the carpenters let a piece of wood fly off the cutting table..." orion came walking by us. he interruped steve, "yeah, the carpenter's initials are steve boyd."
yesterday one of my sisters visited me. everything was fine and dandy until bed time. she spent the entire night walking in circles around my bed. it was a very effective method of sleep deprivation torture.
this morning she dragged me out of bed at six so i could help load her car with half my yarn stash. she finally got ready to leave at 6:30. before she hit the road, she advised, "it's still early. you should go back to bed."

this next one is yesterday's apad. i didn't post it because i was ambivalent about the quality of the picture.

terrible isn't it? i had to use zoom because macro mode refused to focus on the spider. anyway, i'm only showing it to prove that i did not slack.
this morning was the first time i've seen the channel islands for quite some time. they're normally obscured by the distant marine layer. they were more spectacular during sunrise but i didn't have a chance to take pictures until after lunch.

i think that's anacapa island to the left, santa cruz in the middle, and santa rosa to the very right (if it's in the shot at all). they belong to the national park system. i've always wanted to visit one of those islands. it could be a lot of fun for camping and kayaking.
