there's only a third left of 2007; can you believe it? i completely forgot to say rabbit rabbit for this month. it's just as well. i said it for august, only to watch it turn into one of the worst months of my life.
my labor day weekend was pleasantly normal. i hope yours was too. let's hope it would remain just as normal for the rest of the year.
i sent trond the knitter an envelope today. i had sent him a slightly larger envelope some months ago but he never got it. i would have used tracking except the usps offered no such service. so, for my second attempt, i thought i'd capture my own proof of mailing.

i was rather happy that the postman let me take pictures. he even posed. i can only hope that the norwegian postperson would be just as cooperative.
that's me and the polaroid sx70 slr given to me by andrea. this is the second camera she has given me. unlike the first one, which was delivered by usps, this one was handed to me by andrea in person. she had flown from houston to los angeles for work. so i drove from santa barbara just to meet her, completely unaware that she had brought me this classic camera. it was a fantastic surprise!

i took that picture of andrea on the ucla campus, where i got to see her mess with a backpack full of cameras. she was carrying around at least a dozen from her arsenal. woman after my own heart!
i only got to spend three hours with andrea, but it was plenty enough to confirm that she is all around awesome.
